Graduate Category: Single-paper summaries (or just cut-and-paste versions of published papers) are inappropriate for the ACM SRC. Submissions should include at least one year's worth of research contributions but not subsume an entire doctoral thesis load. In other words, priority will be given to the graduate students in their 2nd or 3rd year of study, not those who just started their PhD degree or those who are close to wrapping up their PhD thesis. Master's students with at least one year's worth of research are also welcome to submit.
Undergraduate Category: We plan to reserve up to 5 poster session spots for undergraduate attendees to highlight their contributions and encourage their continued involvement in the design automation field. The exact number is subject to the number and quality of submissions from undergraduates.
Details on abstract submission: Research projects from all areas of design automation are encouraged. The author submitting the abstract must still be a student when the abstract is due. Each submission should be made on the SoftConf submission site
(https://softconf.com/n/iccad2024-src). Please include
- The author's name, affiliation, postal address, and email address.
- Research advisor's name; ACM student member number; category (undergraduate or
graduate). - Research title; and an extended abstract (a maximum of 2 pages or 800 words in
IEEETran, 10 pt, 2-column conference format, Overleaf Template) containing the
following sections:- Problem and Motivation: This section should clearly state the problem being addressed and explain the reasons for seeking a solution to this problem.
- Background and Related Work: This section should describe the specialized (but pertinent) background necessary to appreciate the work. Include references to the literature where appropriate, and briefly explain where your work departs from that done by others. Reference lists do not count towards the limit on the length of the abstract.
- Approach and Uniqueness: This section should describe your approach to attacking the problem and should clearly state how your approach is novel.
- Results and Contributions: This section should clearly show how the results of your work contribute to advancing the design automation field and should explain the significance of those results. To ensure a fair review process, submissions will be judged solely based on the technical content of the submitted abstract. Metrics/indicators that do not directly relate to the intellectual merits of the work itself will not be considered.
- The reference page is excluded from the 2-page content limit.

The Organizing Committee and the Co-Chairs will not grant any extension to the Abstract Submission Deadline under any circumstances.
Requirements: Students submitting and presenting their work at SRC@ICCAD must be members of both ACM and ACM SIGDA.
Travel Support: ICCAD recognizes that students presenting research and/or participating in student activities at our conference is an important aspect of his/her professional, educational, and research development. Further, student involvement in our conferences is fundamental to our development as a research community. Student travel support to facilitate participation in the SRC can be requested through the ICCAD Scholar program.
